Inquest is told of grim find

"A village warden who was being investigated over child abuse allegations was found dead in a country lane with a bag over his head.

DD 50, was discovered by two local authority workers on April 20 after they spotted a figure slumped in a van parked in Barnes Lane, Kings Langley.

An inquest heard on Monday how a letter on the outside of the van warned passers-by to the danger of a helium canister found inside the van next to the body of the former warden for the village.

Police officers were also called, and despite resuscitation attempts, D was found to have no sign of life.

Letters found inside the van gave instructions to friends regarding his dogs and other belongings."

Paedophile [sic] killed himself after release from Lincoln prison

"A convicted paedophile [sic] who used his love of horses to attract young girls killed himself after being told he could not return to his former home on his release from jail, an inquest was told.

Former lorry driver AR, 52, was twice jailed for offences involving teenage girls. After completing his latest sentence, he was told he had to live in a hostel rather than return to his former home in Cadeby.

An inquest at Lincoln Cathedral Centre was told R was released from Lincoln Prison in March this year and was reported missing after failing to arrive at Howard House hostel, in Leicester.

Instead, he lived rough. Shortly after his release from prison he hanged himself, and his decomposed body was discovered on April 15 in a field on the outskirts of the village of Heighington, near Lincoln.

The inquest was told that a dog walker found the body hanging from the roof beam of a disused horse shelter.

Debris scattered around the shelter, including bedding, discarded beer cans and the remains of a fire, indicated R had been living in the field."
