'Stress' blamed at child porn sentencing

"Man to serve 9-year term in prison for distributing images of children

A longtime data specialist for the state Department of Economic Development was sentenced Tuesday to nine years in federal prison for possessing and distributing hundreds of images of child pornography — a crime he attributed to his "unusual level of stress."

LM.G, 56, of Albany who has a Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy and who taught statistics for 20 years at Empire State College, also was sentenced to lifetime supervision, which will take effect after his release."
