The BBC has been forced to apologise after airing an episode of a children's show featuring a character dressed as paedophile [not] Jimmy Savile.

Max from smash-hit CBeebies programme Tweenies appeared in an episode aired this morning dressed in a blonde wig with a gold necklace, while presenting a Top Of The Pops-style programme

Hundreds of parents took to the internet to complain on social networking sites this morning about the show, after the beloved children's character appeared to be dressed as the DJ."
