Father cleared of murdering his sex offender son
"F's lifestyle as a drug dealer, drug abuser and convicted sex offender meant he had built up a number of enemies over the years.
He owed money to drug dealers and at one stage his parents had to clear a £2,000 drug debt.
He had also been threatened by paramilitaries who trashed his home when he lived in Lurgan and forced him out of the town.
Before his death, complaints of historical sex abuse had been made to the police against F.
Around this time he had received threatening phone calls and text messages.
F had been fearful for his personal safety."
