Stand-up comic with child porn conviction axed from Birmingham Comedy Festival
"HE was billed as a comedy veteran, part of the Over The Hill Gang – a group of funnymen aged over 40.
But as JK planned to deliver his comic routine at the Birmingham Comedy Festival, he was hiding a sinister secret.
The 48-year-old, from Stafford, narrowly escaped jail for possessing 4,500 indecent image of children at Wolverhampton Crown Court last month.
He was due to appear at the festival – as JK – on Friday night at the Blue Orange Theatre in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. But the promoters axed him when they discovered his sordid past."
