"Kyrgyz lawmakers are currently debating a draft law that would allow men convicted of raping or attempting to rape children to voluntarily choose chemical castration to rehabilitate themselves."

Want to Register Icelandic Sex Offenders

"A committee appointed by four different ministries, which is supposed to counteract sex offenses, suggests that the prosecuting attorney's office should be strengthened so they can fight the issue better and look into how to register sex offenders in Iceland."

Francis defends ankle monitors

"The WA Government has defended its choice of electronic ankle monitors to track dangerous sex offenders despite US officials saying they have a range of faults including being jammed when covered with foil.

Last December, the WA government revealed that 3M Australia had been awarded the contract for the provision of GPS tracking equipment, as part of a $6 million policy to keep track of the state’s worst sex offenders."

Serbia adopts harsher law against paedophiles [sic] 

 "The Serbian parliament on Monday approved harsher sanctions against paedophiles [sic] and tighter controls on offenders once they are released from prison.

Those convicted now face a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison, with no possibility of a reduced term. The maximum sentence is set at 40 years, which can be handed to the perpetrator in case the victim is killed, while the statute of limitation is eliminated."
