The shock figure [success] emerged during an NSPCC investigation [publish it, in detail] into the monitoring of convicted child abusers [sic] living in the community.

The charity obtained a breakdown of Home Office statistics that show, for the first time, 29,837 [48.6% of the total] of 61,397 [100% total) registered sex offenders are paedophiles [sic].

It found 941 [3.2% of 'RSOs', 1.5% of the total] had re-offended [type?] despite being monitored by authorities. They are supposed to keep police informed of where they are living [and?].
