A person, who claims to be the victim of a crime (real or imaginary), who remains in the victimhood mindset of Victim, whilst claiming to be a 'strong' Survivor etc. Professional Victims, may be Victivors, or not, but they claim and exploit victimhood (often publicly), for profit (e.g. financial, emotional, dealing with perceived, or real, failure, in life etc).

Stanley Cohen, who originated the term "moral panic," called the episode "one of the purest cases of moral panic."

"During the late 1980s and early 1990s, a moral panic emerged over alleged ritual satanic abuse. The NSPCC provided a publication known as 'Satanic Indicators' to social services around the country that has been blamed for some social workers panicking and making false accusations. The most prominent of these cases was in Rochdale in 1990 when up to 20 children were taken from their homes and parents after social services believed them to be involved in satanic or occult ritual abuse.
The allegations were later found out to be false. The case was the subject of a BBC documentary which featured recordings of the interviews made by NSPCC social workers, revealing that flawed techniques and leading questions were used to gain evidence of abuse from the children. The documentary claimed that the social services were wrongly convinced, by organisations such as the NSPCC, that abuse was occurring and so rife that they made allegations before any evidence was considered."

"The victim had five convictions for gross indecency and indecent assault in the 1980s and 1990s against boys aged between 14 and 17.
A man who admitted killing a convicted sex offender in a flat fire has been jailed for 10 years.
Daniel Martin, 25, set fire to a wheelie bin and pushed it up against the front door of AH's flat in Worcester in the early hours of December 14, 2011, sparking a rapidly spreading and ferocious blaze in which the 52-year-old was killed.
Sentencing Martin for manslaughter at Birmingham Crown Court, Mrs Justice Thirlwall said the crime was "shockingly stupid" (NS Sherlock].
She said he had intended "to do something so frightening, it would cause him (H) to move away from the area where he had lived since 2001".
"You say you threw stones at his window to try and wake him and say you saw a light come on," she added.

Judge spares sex abuser from jail in line with daughter’s wishes

Judge Carroll Moran said OH a father of four, was guilty of a breach of trust and the fact he had abused his own child was a further breach of this trust.
A 61-year-old man who subjected his young daughter to years of sexual abuse has avoided a prison sentence after she indicated she did not wish to see him jailed.
Earlier this month, Limerick businessman and former guesthouse owner OH was remanded in custody and warned he would be going to jail after harrowing evidence of the abuse suffered by his young daughter was outlined at Limerick Circuit Court.
Mr H, with an address at Westbury, Co Clare, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of indecent assault of his daughter SR between January 1988 and December 31st, 1990, and a further 20 counts of sexual assault between September 1991 and December 1995.
The offences occurred at the former family homes in Foynes, Kilcornan and Adare in Co Limerick.
Ms R, who waived her right to anonymity, told gardaà the abuse started when she was five years old. She also recalled how she was beaten and chastised by her father for mispronouncing words."
