The Continued Attempted Grooming of Society [sic] to Normalise Paedophilia [sic]

"Why also, are these views being allowed to be aired in public, by those who are known sex offenders? People like Paul Christiano, spokesperson for B4U-ACT and known sex offender. Known sex offenders who are allowed to share their distorted views on public platforms like Blogs, Facebook and Twitter. Sex offenders who try to legitimise what they do. Sex offenders who try to justify, for example, that IIOC is a victimless crime. Sex offenders who are more than happy to try to groom us into believing that everyone has an element of paedophilia in them. Sex offenders who promote all the above, knowing that it is a criminal offence to abuse children. Should sex offenders who try to normalise crimes like this, who try to justify crimes like this by trying to decriminalise their acts, be allowed to speak so freely like this?

Would we allow for example, adult rapists to organise conferences to try to justify and legitimise their acts? Would we let them have a free speech on public platforms like Blogger, Facebook & Twitter to spread their views and argue that they have some sort of mental disorder or that what they have is a sexual orientation that makes them unable to control what they do.. (aaah poor rapists, it's not their fault, it's just the way they are, they can't help it) ?

Of course we wouldn't, so why exactly are we allowing paedophiles and child sex offenders such a public platform?

Isn't it about time that we stopped allowing paedophiles and child sex offenders to have this free-reign public voice to make pathetic excuse after excuse about why they do what they do? After all, no-one puts a gun to their head and tells them to abuse a child, or to download/distribute IIOC, they have self-control like everyone else does. Free speech is one thing, but when it is making up excuses to promote or justify the sexual abuse of children and the actions of the people who abuse them, (either physically or by IIOC), this goes too far."

Unduly Lenient Sentences, Appeals, and Failures That Seem To Make No Sense [sic].

"Back in 2010, MT was found guilty of molesting a toddler and a schoolgirl, as well as amassing a library of 766 Indecent Images of Children, some being video clips.

At the time, the Judge sentenced him to a three year Supervision Order, a Youth Offending Programme and a residency and Sexual Offenses [sic] Prevention Order.

Basically he walked out of court, a free man.

Indecent Images of Children & the Unduly Lenient Sentencing Scheme - A Reply

"You have also asked about the unduly lenient sentencing scheme and why it applies only to certain offences. The scheme, whereby the Law Officers may refer sentences to the Court of Appeal to consider whether they are unduly lenient, is confined to those offences that are so serious that they must be tried at the Crown Court (‘indictable-only’ offences, such as rape or robbery), and to certain ‘either-way’ offences which, although they may be tried in the Crown Court or a magistrates’ court, are capable of being serious enough to justify a high maximum penalty."

CSA Guidelines - An Open Question

"Dear Sir,

I have two queries relating to CSA (Child sexual Abuse) [no you do not, they, predominantly, relate to indecent images of children] which I would be very grateful if you could answer for me.

My first query is regarding Sex Offenders [sic] treatment programmes [sic] and length of sentences.

There seems to be a lot of cases recently where instead of receiving a custodial sentence, offenders are given a suspended sentence so that they can attend a sex offenders treatment programme. [yes, worse than prison, in many cases - don't forget the SOPOs] The reason given, nine out of ten times, is that the sentence that they would have been given would have been too short, with no hopes of starting such a programme. [yes] An example of this is given below ...

I am confused on two different things with this. [yes you are, and even more]

Firstly, these "sentences" [they are sentences] seem to be far too lenient [IYHO]. We are talking here about paedophiles [hardly ever], who by their nature have a healthy [sic, but thank you] interest in children, enough to either go online and look for these images of child sexual exploitation and child abuse/rape [but not all are such images, Richard, the minority, in fact], or to go out and physically abuse [sorry?]. By committing such crimes, getting caught and being sentenced, the guidelines as per the below ..."

RESIDENTS in a family housing estate say they are furious that a suspected [?] paedophile [sic] is living among young children and they are calling for Housing to move him immediately.

Eighty people have signed a petition requesting that the Housing department move the man, who has been charged with downloading indecent images of children but is currently out on conditional bail.

One resident in the estate claims that Housing knew that the man was a known sex offender [but, he is not, is he?].

In this piece Richard refers to the link between viewing child abuse images/videos [sic], and the sexually motivated murders of children, following the convictions of Stuart Hazel and Mark Bridger. When we were setting up CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre), Microsoft, Google and others gave us plenty of help [wonder why?]. Now, more than ever, we need that spirit of partnership and shared responsibility.

Internet service and search engine providers could consider the British Transport Police model — a fully-fledged police service paid for by the rail, freight, passenger and infrastructure businesses that they make safe [The Unaccountable Internet Police (UIP) - Yes, we know what you were employed to do, Jim].

It is a model that could be funded by a levy from the internet giants, many of whom enjoy beneficial tax breaks.

The media and "Child Porn"

"Having spent a bit of time thinking about a relevant article in the media that best describes how not to report the crime of downloading / making indecent images of children, one tabloid immediately came to mind. Not that I am singling this particular paper out, but out of all the UK tabloids, this one uses the term that I am highlighting in this post, namely "child porn" on almost a daily basis.

I wish the media would stop using this phrase. In reality, these are images of children who have been sexually exploited or abused - "crime scene photos". Using this phrase trivialises this crime hugely by labelling it as just another type of porn. We already have "food porn", "car porn" "poverty porn" - indeed anything and everything can be labelled as "porn". Should we be trivialising pictures and videos of child abuse by labelling them as just another "porn"?"

"Pornography is defined [one definition] as "the explicit portrayal of sexual subject matter for the purposes of sexual arousal and erotic satisfaction", however the only people who would actively look at these images and describe it as such are paedophiles [sic]. Why should the media use such paedo-friendly [sic] language in their reporting - facilitating and helping [sic] paedophiles [sic] somehow justify [sic] their crimes? Answer - they shouldn't and they need to stop!"

For images, we prefer 'Indecent Images of Children' (IIOC) - the primary legal term, in our primary jurisdiction.

"A brief posting on the BBC's stance on their use of the term "Child Porn". The one organisation I no longer bother to complain to about this - hopefully the below will explain why.

In a nutshell they have no objection to using this phrase in their reporting as long as they also include "indecent images of children" somewhere else in the articles. Not sure why they think this acceptable - by their reasoning one could use the term n****r as well as long as you include the words "black person" - no sense I know, but one that they have used.
