"THOUSANDS of children a year are raped by organised gangs — who give fellow perverts sick “menus” to pick their victims, an official report said yesterday.
The Children’s Commissioner highlights the “conspiracy of silence” which allowed Savile to “rape children with impunity”. However, it adds that it is “too easy to simply blame the BBC” as the problem was far more widespread.
It reveals 2,409 youngsters were abused in the space of just 14 months. But astonishingly, Government sources branded the report “hysterical” and “highly emotional” last night.
The devastating document details how paedophiles [sic] can browse at leisure for children to attack with the aid of photos and details including ages on the menus.
In addition to recorded attacks, another 16,500 children were seen as being at “high risk”, according to the report by Deputy Children’s Commissioner Sue Berelowitz.
In one abuse case, a six-month series of sickening attacks left a 12-year-old girl looking like “a ravaged, haggard old woman”."

Online porn linked to half of all child sex abuse cases

Thousands of children in England are at high risk of sexual exploitation – and in half the cases, the impact of online porn is partly to blame, a devastating report found last night.
Some 16,500 youngsters – the equivalent of 20 medium-sized secondary schools [!] – were identified over the course of one year as displaying signs of being vulnerable to being raped or otherwise sexually abused.
Contrary to expectations, many were from ‘loving and stable’ middle-class homes, with children as young as four at risk.

The invention of yet another form of abuse
"A new report claiming that thousands of British children are being sexually exploited is built on alarmist moralising rather than hard facts.
A new report from the UK Office of the Children’s Commissioner, titled Inquiry into Child Sexual Exploitation in Gangs and Groups, shows that policy-led research is still flourishing in Westminster.
The key thing about such research is that it is commissioned to provide evidence for what policymakers already believe to be true. In other words, such research is really just policymakers’ prejudices masquerading as a piece of academic work. The authors of this new report explain that what ‘prompted’ their inquiry was ‘mounting concern about child sexual exploitation and the inadequate responses to it’. That is, the people behind the inquiry already knew there was a ‘mounting’ danger out there; the only problem was finding some evidence to prove the existence of this danger."

Prison inspector: Too few checks on sex offenders
"Sex offenders are being released back into the community with too little assessment of the risk they pose to the public, Scotland’s chief inspector of prisons has suggested. Brigadier Hugh Munro has said there is too little assessment of the risk sex offenders pose to the public before their release
Brigadier Hugh Munro told MSPs he was concerned that dozens of sex criminals are being freed directly from their jail cells without being “tested” first in open prison.
Citing conditions in Dumfries Prison, he said many are stuck in a “penal cul-de-sac” because they undergo no rehabilitation before being let out.
His intervention at Holyrood’s justice committee came as official figures disclosed there are 3,222 sex offenders in the community, the highest total on record since at least 2007.
The number convicted of a violent or sexual offence after being released nearly doubled from 39 last year to 69 in 2011/12."

"Several residents in Örebro, central Sweden, were shocked when they sorted through their post recently and found a detailed account of a child sex crime committed by one of their neighbours.
“Warning! This paedophile [sic] lives close to you and your children,” read the front page of the five-page document which held no information about the sender.
It contained extracts from district and Supreme Court proceedings pertaining to the case, reports local newspaper Nerikes Allehanda (NA).
The crime for which the man was convicted took place in the 1990s and resulted in a three-year prison sentence.
Having the crime described in detail led some residents in the central Sweden town to question the purpose of the handout.
“The crime that this person was convicted of was grotesque, but the sentence has been served and maybe they wanted to start over. For me, the question is when have you atoned your crime?” Susanne Engvall told the newspaper.

Councillor continues bid to find sex offenders in Windsor
"A COUNCILLOR has vowed to track down the names and addresses of sex offenders in the Royal Borough after police turned down his request for their details.
Councillor Tom Bursnall, representing Clewer East, wrote to police in August requesting the names and addresses of all known sex offenders living in his ward and those bordering it.
However, police turned down his request saying it would breach the Data Protection Act to share the information.
Now, the UK Independence Party councillor has vowed to obtain the details of sex offenders in the Royal Borough by other means and told The Observer: "If I cannot get the information through official channels, I would look at obtaining it through unofficial channels."

Cllr Phill Bicknell, representing Park, backed his fellow councillor's initial demand and told The Observer: "I'm disappointed that he hasn't got the information and the system needs to be looked at, as this withholding of information is too secretive. If you can't trust an elected councillor, who can you trust? We are pillars of the community." [hahahahahaha]
A Thames Valley Police spokesman confirmed the request was turned down on the grounds that it would breach the Data Protection Act."
