One in five women victims of sexual offences

"The first joint statistical overview of sexual offending in England and Wales reveals that almost 20% of all women in England and Wales report that they have been the victim of a sexual offence since the age of 16.

This figure is contained in a new report produced jointly by the Ministry of Justice, Home Office and Office of National Statistics.

It brings together, for the first time, a range of official statistics from across the crime and criminal justice system, providing an overview of sexual offending in England and Wales."

Monster [sic] slipped through the net [sic]

"THIS ruling by the judges left us reeling in horror. Like Hailey, we fear it could lead to a watering-down of the CRB procedure [DBS, get with the program] — which was put in place to protect [sic] children and vulnerable adults.

Their rights [their what?] should come before [why?] those of anyone else. Ian Huntley was discovered to have got a job as a caretaker even though he had been accused of eight sexual assaults.

Under the present system it would no longer happen [why not?] because anyone wanting jobs where they will come into contact with children and vulnerable adults have their backgrounds checked [and? ... who commits most, fresh, 'sex' crimes?]"

''Those people who bravely come forward to report sexual abuse they suffered [sic] as children live with the consequences daily [sic]. We owe it to victims [sic] to do all we can bring offenders [sic] to justice and provide victims [sic] with some form of closure. We also owe it to the public to do our utmost to protect them from dangerous offenders. [sic]""

FBI mistakenly raid local couple for child porn

"A Mechanicsville couple was targeted by the FBI because federal investigators say child porn was being downloaded to computers using their internet service.

Trouble is, those computers did not belong to the couple. After a lengthy investigation and frightening moments for the husband and wife it was determined their neighbor was allegedly committing the crimes.

In a Mechanicsville neighborhood off of Pole Green Road, the only lawbreakers neighbors worry about are speeders, but that changed last month. The Feds arrested David Edward Sleezer and are charging him with five counts of receiving and distributing child porn."

Frances Andrade 'traumatised’ by reliving abuse [sic] of 30 years ago

"That job, though, was to be done for her. Returning to teaching the violin, she met Jenevora Williams, a renowned singing teacher for choristers at St Paul’s and Westminster Abbey, and teacher-in-residence for the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, from where she knew Brewer.

The pair became good friends but when Mrs Andrade confided in her what he had done all those years ago, Miss Williams took it upon herself to contact the police, saying that Brewer was still working with children and therefore she had a professional duty to report what she knew. In doing so, she had unwittingly set a chain of events in motion that were to have a tragic conclusion."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/9858863/Frances-Andrade-traumatised-by-reliving-abuse-of-30-years-ago.html

We should like you to reflect, on these two points, in particular, Jim (we will presume that the outcome of the case is based on reality) ...

"Andrade had not initiated the police investigation which led to the trial. Friends said she did not present herself as a "victim" and would have hated to be seen as such. They say she never wanted to give evidence against the Brewers."

No trial, Ms Andrade would still be alive, healthy and happy.

We suspect your vetting issue, refers to this ...

"Giving evidence, Brewer denied all of Andrade's allegations but admitted to an affair with a 17-year-old pupil at Chetham's in 1994. He resigned when the affair was discovered and the school said he had stepped down for "health reasons". Brewer went on to become the artistic director of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and has also directed the World Youth Choir. He served as an adjudicator in international competitions and in 2008 led BBC workshops for the programme Last Choir Standing."

Which was perfectly legal (and not rare), at the time, thus, should have no bearing on future employment (which was impeccable, as can be seen) or anything else.

Do you see why you and yours are so dangerous?

It is often about Doing The Right Thing, Not Doing Things Right.

Broken Truths? (Part 1)

Presently, there is a bit of a Twitter War, in progress, between The Sun's 'journalists', authors, public figures and company directors, Ms Shy Keenan and Ms Sara Payne (are you declaring your earnings, ladies, to those who need to know?), and a number of people, who are challenging Ms Keenan's version of reality, in regards to one of her books, 'Broken'.

Ms Keenan and Ms Payne, also seem to experiencing some confusion about the nature of 'stalking', in case law and Statute.

Now ... retired (?) police officer, Jim Gamble, is on the case; we are following the issue, with great interest.

Better have a look, Jim.
