Overdose followed sex abuse claims
"A DIABETIC pensioner from Bodmin was found dead six days after being accused of sexual abuse.
CF, 77, a retired catering manager who had worked at the former St Lawrence's Hospital in Bodmin, died on August 20, 2010, a day after overdosing on insulin which he countered by swallowing sweet drinks.
Mr F, 77, who had had the lower parts of both legs amputated, apparently took another overdose of insulin the following day but a test five days later did not show high levels, an inquest in Truro heard.
The laboratory at Bristol carrying out the test said the concentration of insulin might have been low because of the delay between the injection and his death."
