Sex offender name ban 'breached on Twitter'
"A ban on naming a convicted child sex offender may have been breached on Twitter, a court has been told.
Lawyers for the man, who is involved in legal action against Facebook, claimed the rival social media site was used to publish his identity.
A judge was told the potential breach of his order could amount to contempt of court.
A barrister has now been instructed to represent a second defendant in the ongoing case.
Joseph McCloskey was joined to the proceedings over his alleged role in the running of a Facebook page called 'Keeping our kids safe from predators'.
In November last year Facebook was ordered to take it down.
A judge granted an interim injunction after finding the contents amounted to prima facie harassment and risked infringing on human rights.
Threatening
The man who brought the legal action, known only as XY, is now pressing for a permanent injunction against both Facebook and Joseph McCloskey."

Anti-abuse campaigner [mindless thug] told not to publish information about child sex offender - court hears
http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Voice+of+The+Mirror%3A+End+pain+of+exile.-a082868899
"An anti-abuse campaigner [mindless thug] has been given a High Court undertaking to publish nothing more about a child sex offender on either Facebook or any other social media.
As part of a final settlement to the convicted paedophile's [sic] legal action, Joe McCloskey today also pledged to immediately remove all references to him from online pages under his control.
The man, who served a jail sentence for a catalogue of abuse, has now been granted permanent anonymity by a judge overseeing the resolution.
Known only as XY, he issued proceedings against Facebook and Mr McCloskey over the contents of a page entitled 'Keeping our kids safe from predators'.
He went to court after discovering his photograph and a string of threatening comments had been posted online.
In November last year the social networking giant was ordered to take the page down due to the prima facie harassment and potential breach of the plaintiff's human rights.
Although it was removed, a new page under the heading 'Keeping our kids safe from predators 2' soon appeared."
