"If we can talk about this rationally – acknowledge that yes, men do get sexually attracted to children, but no, they don't have to act on it – we can maybe avoid the hysteria. We won't label paedophiles monsters; it won't be taboo to see and name what is happening in front of us."
We can help keep children safe, Goode argues, "by allowing paedophiles to be ordinary members of society, with moral standards like everyone else", and by "respecting and valuing those paedophiles who choose self-restraint". Only then will men tempted to abuse children "be able to be honest about their feelings, and perhaps find people around them who could support them and challenge their behaviour before children get harmed"."

Tom O’Carroll is a man who has travelled up and down the country arguing that paedophilia is OK. We have no clue why The Guardian have decided to give such a hideous reprobate a voice. It’s disgusting.
We will never forget him saying that, out of the hundreds of thousands of victims out there, he’d found FOUR willing to say that they enjoyed some of the attention.
Which, to him, means paedophilia should be fine.
You can’t say to him, “What about all the people who have had their lives destroyed by sexual abuse?”
He said he didn’t like being called a beast or perv, so he nicked the name paedophile in the hope that would give him and his consorts some kind of legitimacy.
Luckily, the wonderful British public gave that word the same connotations."

It’s all kicked off in the British media
"Wow! It’s all happening! Jon Henley’s Guardian article on paedophilia yesterday has provoked an immediate and massive reaction.
The piece itself drew over 900 comments on the paper’s website before the no doubt exhausted moderators closed the thread: they had been kept very busy reading and deleting abusive posts. In general, though, the exchanges, though passionate, included a lot of thoughtful if not always very well informed material. There were inevitably those who said they had been abused as children, and there were others who said they had enjoyed being sexually engaged with an adult, without later ill effects. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of contributors who welcomed the article as a fresh and – in an ironic phrase – “grown-up” discussion of children’s sexual expression with themselves, their peers and with adults."
